Free Resource: Handwriting

£0.00

A small selection of free resources to support handwriting.

Overview

If teachers are unable to read a student’s handwriting, it can be very demotivating for the student. For this reason, handwriting practice can be included as part of LIfTT.

The aim of these resources is not to teach students to write in perfect cursive, but to achieve a readable script that may or may not be “joined-up”.

The Resources booklet contains a useful list for diagnosing handwriting issues, a guide to letter formation (for printed letters), and handwriting paper that can be used to practise achieving accurate and consistent letter size.

The Teaching Manual includes a short introduction to teaching handwriting to secondary students.
